What is contained in a mark.  Unintentional, intentional, expression, damage, rhythm, pattern or even an essence or trace of the maker of the mark.

    I loved your post, it made me think and made me look at my work again. It inspired me to write a post about marks as well, I quoted, and referenced, you quite liberally, I hope you don't mind. I'm really interested in the autographic nature of artworks and really enjoy seeing work where there's a clear trace of the maker.
